Hello Ladies!

My name is Elah Shulruff, and it is my privilege to serve as Chapter President of the Sigma chapter of Alpha Chi Omega. First off, WELCOME to our website! There’s a lot of great information on here to allow you to learn more about our wonderful chapter.

You may be asking, "Why Alpha Chi Omega?" the reason why I fell in love with this chapter is because the girls made me feel like I could be myself and I never had an ingenue conversation. When I joined Alpha Chi I was surrounded by women who never judge me for being myself. They motivated, empowered, and challenged me to be the best version of myself.

Serving as Chapter President is such an honor for me, as I truly feel that it’s the best opportunity for me to give back to a chapter that has provided me with so much. There are so many reasons I am excited to run the chapter. I hope to make a last impacting on each individual member and strengthen the chapter's sisterhood. I am enthusiastic to help all our potential new members find their place in the sorority and at the University. Lastly, I am ecstatic to see the impact Sigma has on the rest of the Greek community.

"We have won Iowa Fraternity & Social Life Best Chapter Sisterhood Award for five years in a row. We
have sisters involved in organizations all over campus, including Dance Marathon, Student Government, Panhellenic Executive Council, Rho Lambda Honors Fraternity, and so many more! My sisters remind me daily of what being an Alpha Chi Omega is really all about, and I cannot think of a better way to describe them than Real. Strong. Women."

I want to invite you to look around our website to learn more about the history of our organization and to learn about all of the things that make Sigma such an amazing chapter to be a part of. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at elah-shulruff@uiowa.edu.
